How to use it
Do not skip phases. Most people fail interviews because they jumped to tools before understanding networking and operating-system fundamentals. Spend the first month on the basics.
Phase 1 — Foundations (Weeks 1–4)
Networking (OSI model, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP), the Linux command line, and Windows internals. Build a home lab with two VMs.
Phase 2 — Security fundamentals (Weeks 5–8)
The CIA triad, common attack types, the MITRE ATT&CK framework, and basic cryptography.
Phase 3 — Blue-team tooling (Weeks 9–16)
SIEM (Splunk or Microsoft Sentinel), packet analysis with Wireshark, and log analysis. This is where you become employable as an L1 SOC Analyst.

01Do I need a degree to become a cyber security analyst?
No. Most of our placed students do not have a computer-science degree. Hiring managers care about demonstrable skills — a home lab, a certification like CompTIA Security+, and the ability to explain how you would investigate an alert.
02How long does it realistically take to get job-ready?
With consistent effort of about 10–15 hours a week, roughly 5–6 months to be ready for L1 SOC Analyst interviews. Faster if you already have an IT background.
03Which certification should I do first?
CompTIA Security+ is the standard first certification — widely recognised by Indian employers. Take it at the end of Phase 2.
04Is cyber security a good career in India in 2026?
Yes. Demand continues to outpace supply, especially for SOC, cloud security and GRC roles. Entry-level SOC Analyst salaries in metro cities typically range from 4–7 LPA.
